Job Summary/General Description:

Reach out to customers whose accounts are past due in an effort to bring those accounts current while providing excellent customer service. Provide actionable options for customers to bring their accounts up to date. Provide a clear and consistent explanation of the consequences of a persistently delinquent account.

Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance):
&amp;nbsp;

    Directly call customers from a provided list of past due accounts. Uncover root cause of slow payment. Work with the customer to bring account current, using a consistent set of options and resources.
    Keep list of past due accounts updated. All changes in status for customers are immediately updated in the database including: account status, promise to pay date, phone and/or address changes, billing account number changes and any other relevant information.
    Communicate on a regular basis through phone, email and in person with Service Account managers on the status of their accounts and best strategies to obtain desired outcomes.
    Work with database marketing to obtain the most current and accurate list of past due accounts.
    Provide a detailed report to supervisor about accounts that require escalated action.

LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP: Summer 2010 (June -&amp;nbsp;September 2010) - Duration of internship will be based on performance and/or business need.
HOURS PER WEEK: Flexible; minimum 20 hours per week.
FOR COLLEGE/GRADUATE SCHOOL CREDIT ONLY - Non-paid, instructor approval required. Other employee benefits; relocation expenses will not be covered.
POSITION CLOSES: March 31, 2010
PURPOSE: The internship position is designed to allow the student to experience a professional work environment through collaboration with the Client Service staff within the Corporate Partnerships department on a wide range of independent and group projects relating to Trail Blazers/Rose Garden partners. 
Learning Objectives: The student will have the opportunity to explore, observe, and participate in a variety of departmental activities including:

    Planning and implementation of all sponsor related retail, community, internet promotions and special events
    Interacting on a daily basis with corporate partners through meetings, projects, and events
    Researching prospective new corporate clients
    Managing departmental activites (eg: vendor purchase program, hospitality event set-up, sponsor handouts)
