People & Culture Coordinator - Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter (Portland, OR)

To support our pursuit, we are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator. The individual selected for this position will provide administrative support that contributes to creating and maintaining efficient work processes and systems. This position will also be responsible for driving Talent Acquisition initiatives and support for our part-time event related positions.

You will be responsible for:

Provide general administrative support to the P&C team and act as first point of contact to internal customers for HR related issues.

Manage and maintain all employee data entry from hire to separation for both Rip City Management (RCM) and Trail Blazers Inc. (TBI) companies.

Facilitate the onboarding of all new hires from initiating pre-employment verification to execution and completion of new hire paperwork.

Support ongoing talent acquisition activities around job postings, screening, and interviews of part time event candidates.

Execute open hiring events and subsequent orientations for part time event staff.

Engage in continuous improvement projects to streamline processes, improve tools/reporting, and increase administrative efficiencies.

Track and coordinate the part-time employee referral process to ensure timely payment to employees.

Drive organization and execution of internship program.

Perform other duties as assigned.


Four year college or university degree, emphasis in Human Resource Management is preferred or one to three years of related experience and/or training.

Ability to perform repetitious data entry activities for an extended period to time with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Capable of effectively prioritizing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines – knowing when to escalate issues with professionalism.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, learn quickly and resourcefully.

Previous experience working in systems such as Ultipro and ability to learn new complex systems/tools.

Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed based on the demands of the business.
