SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CAREER FAIR – February 25th, 2015

Don't miss the seventh annual Sports and Entertainment Career and Internship Fair hosted by the Portland Trail Blazers!

(This is a popular event and space is limited so please purchase your registration early to secure your spot and get the best possible tickets to the game, also your email will be used for correspondence regarding registration and event details, please apply with an account you check often)

Have an opportunity to meet and network with companies in the sports and entertainment industry.

Participants this year will include:

* Representatives from the NBA/WNBA (Open positions likely for 10 NBA/WNBA teams)

Over 30 participants in the past few years were able to secure employmnet, including several with various NBA teams! Open positons likely for 10 NBA/WNBA teams.

The event will be on Wednesday, February 25th and will start at 3:30 PM with a panel discussion from different departments within the sports industry. The fair will begin at 4:00 PM. Registration starts at $30.

Each registration comes with a ticket to the game against the San Antonio Spurs later that evening.

1st Annual Rose Quarter Job Shadow Day - February 2, 2015 - Portland Trail Blazers & Rip City Management (Portland, OR)

The Portland Trail Blazers and Rip City Management, in its commitment to making Oregon and SW Washington a better place for children and their families to live, learn, and play, is joining a growing number of organizations who observe Groundhog’s Day as a National Job Shadow Day. As more and more Middle, Junior and High Schools are requiring students to get Career Education outside of the classroom the Portland Trail Blazers and Rip City Management are excited to provide an opportunity for a group of students to spend a morning on our campus learning about all of the career opportunities associated with our business.

Students who are selected to participate in this experience will have the opportunity to tour the Moda Center arena and supporting facilities, meet and discuss careers with employees from various departments, and participate in some fun activities associated with careers in sports and entertainment.

Qualified students will be in grades 8 – 10. Students must have the support of an Instructor, Counselor or Mentor. Students must also have the support of a Parent or Legal Guardian. Students fulfilling an educational requirement will be given priority.

Other info:

  • This is a one day event on February 2, 2015

  • The event starts at 9 AM and ends at approximately 1 PM

  • A pizza lunch will be provided (students with dietary restrictions are encouraged to bring their own lunch)

  • Students must provide their own transportation to and from the Rose Quarter

Safety and providing a quality educational experience are the main priorities for this event. In order to provide ideal conditions there will be limited capacity at this event and some requests to participate may not be fulfilled.
